Information you provide to us at registration

When you create a Bitcoin Global Account, you provide us with personal information that includes your contact information that is required for authentication (email address, name, and a password). You can also choose to add a phone number for SMS or Google Authenticator account to be used for 2FA verification for better security protection.

Information we collect when verifying and authenticating user identity, KYC and AML check. To comply with global industry regulatory standards, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know-Your-Customer (KYC), and Counter Terrorist Financing (CTF), Bitcoin Global requires user accounts to undergo user identity verification and authentication. This entails collecting formal identification data, including biometric.

We may collect or receive your personal and non-personal data by receiving it directly from you (contact form, phone/video call or email inquiry), monitoring the use of or interaction with our website, other email/chat communications sent by us; third party sources, usually providing "Know your client" information when on-boarding; publicly available sources. Service Usage Information. Log Data

We retain the documents prepared with regard to a transaction on any data medium and the documents and data serving as the basis for the notification obligations for no less than five years after making the transaction or performing the duty to report.

Transaction Information

For all personal and corporate user accounts, we may collect transaction information including but not limited to deposit reports, account balances, trade history, withdrawals, order activity, price, distribution history, currency used in transaction, the timestamps trades took place, the chat logs of the trade, the payment method, a record of initiated trades, trade IDs, merchant invoice information (if exists) and other information (if exists). This transaction data are monitored for suspicious trading activity for user fraud protection, and dispute resolution.

To provide and maintain our services

We use the information collected to deliver our services and verify user identity, to administer our business, including data analysis, research, troubleshooting, statistical and survey purposes and security, to ensure our website, app, products and services are as effective and relevant as possible to provide you the best service possible.

We use the IP address and unique identifiers stored in your device's cookies to help us authenticate your identity and provide our service. Given our legal obligations and system requirements, we cannot provide you the services without utilizing such data as identification, contact information and transaction-related information.

  • Support center – you can find the support tickets that you've opened through the support center.
  • Wallet history – your full transaction history can be found on the wallet transactions page.
  • Account IP logs – displays your login history.

We will always work to fully protect your rights and comply with our obligations under the Data Protection Legislation and the Privacy and Electronic Communications, and you will always have the opportunity to opt-out. 

Retention period of personal data

The retention period during which we keep your information depends on the type of the information and is defined below. We retain Personal Information that you provide to us where we have an ongoing legitimate business need to do so (for example, as needed to provide services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, etc.).

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your Personal Information, we securely delete the information or anonymise it or, if this is not possible, securely store your Personal Information using a data diversification method and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible. If you've never used your account for trades or transactions, your data is deleted during 14 days after you delete your account. Notwithstanding the other provisions, we may retain your personal data where such retention is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject to, or in order to protect your vital interests or the vital interests of another natural person.

We will not keep your personal data for any longer than is necessary in light of the reason(s) for which it was first collected. Your personal data will, therefore, be kept according to the following factors to be used to determine how long it is kept:
